Weiz, Munich, Brussels, San Francisco

After another well appointed breakfast provided by Frau Jettmar, we spent the bulk of the day in the car as Herr Jettmar drove us to Munich. We had a much better view of the Alps in the daylight than on our journey from the airport two weeks ago, and they were spectacular. I'd love to go back and do some hiking/climbing one day!

By nightfall we were in Munich and stopped to visit with Eva's cousin who keeps a nice apartment there. She works as an architect and her boyfriend is a biochemist. They were fun and interesting but we could not stay long as our flight was leaving very early in the morning.

NEXT MORNING: Our heads had barely hit the hotel pillow before we were back up and driving to the airport. Once there we had to check in the spiffy new bicycle that Eva's Dad bought for her in Graz the day before. (This was the bike that was to be lost and show up in SFO three weeks after we did, thanks City Bird!!!) and then after saying goodbye to Herr Jettmar we were back on a plane to Brussels.

This time we had just enough time to take a train from the airport into the city center and spend about 20 minutes walking around, so we got a quick look at Brussels. I spent most of the time in a cathedral but did not have time to see much more before we were back on the flying dream soaring high above the Atlantic on the way home.
