(tiny islet with white sand and coconut palms) off of Taha'a...

... Dav took a jeep tour to the jungle.

His tour guide Francis often vanished
to reappear with interesting plants...

... such as this fruit.
Dav learned a lot about the islands' vegetation.
 

Later, they boarded an outrigger canoe...

... to go up French Polynesia's only navigable river.
