Visual Aid for Installing EZ Movie Player Lite

These instructions are just to help people who can't read Japanese use the EZ Movie Player Lite install executable. It's actually quite simple, as it is just a regular Windows application install. Yeah, sorry, they only have a Windows player. If anyone knows of a Linux player please mail me. Mac OS X users can use vlc I'm told, although it plays video only (no audio).

  1. First download the install executable.
  2. Next double click on the install icon to get going. It'll start unzipping stuff and such, the first thing you have to do is: click on the (N) (stands for "Next" I guess).

  3. Now click on the N again (this is probably the EULA):

  4. On this next one, you're telling it what directory/folder to put it in. You could just leave it alone, doesn't really matter. Or you can hit Browse and select a new folder. When you're ready, click (N)ext again.

  5. Ok, here it's asking what program group to put it in. This ends up being a folder on your desktop, so I change the name to something without any weird characters in it:

  6. And now you're almost done. Just click that middle button there. I guess it's the 'Finished' button.

  7. OK, now you have a few applications available to you in the application folder (look for the folder on your desktop or wherever you put it). The bluish colored one is the actual player (I don't know for sure what the others are). You should be able to now download an .amc video file and play it. Try this one: Conversation @ Enoki

That's it. Have fun. See TokyoTidbits.com for a collection of videos.
